Nurse had unprotected s*x with Charlie Sheen knowing he had HIV

ONE of Charlie Sheen’s former flames has come forward, admitting she had unprotected sex with the actor even though she knew he was HIV-positive.
Amanda Bruce, who is a nurse, revealed that she dated Sheen, 50, for about eight months and made the decision to
engage in unprotected sex with him after he broke down in tears and told her he had been diagnosed with HIV.
“There’s a very big scare about it [HIV] out there and I think it’s obviously just a lot of social stigma that came back from when there wasn’t treatment for this and this was a death sentence,” she said during an appearance on The Dr. Oz Show.
Asked by the host if she thought having sex with Sheen was “like playing Russian roulette,” Bruce replied, “I think the real Russian roulette comes with not coming forward about conditions for have or having unprotected sex frequently with partners.
“The reality is we, had known each other for many months before we engaged in that and we were a couple, I was in love with him.”
Bruce added that the pair, who met through a mutual friend, were intimate “every day” and that she first consulted doctors and took PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) medication to lower her risk of contracting the virus before they had sexual intercourse.
“We were boyfriend, girlfriend for a long time, so I was there every day and we were intimate. We weren’t initially obviously unprotected but we became unprotected when we decided to be exclusive and we had a conversation about that,” she said.
One of Sheen’s physicians, Dr. Robert Huizenga, appeared alongside Bruce on the show and said he advised her against unprotected sex with his patient.
“I was the doctor for her boyfriend, we called in other doctors and they felt the risk of transmission if she took the prophylaxis and he had undetectable level was minuscule. We can’t say it’s zero,” Dr. Huizenga explained.
“And so basically I think my advice to her was, ‘Don’t do it, but the risk is minuscule.’ And she elected to then go forward because she felt so close and wanted that level of intimacy.”
Bruce said the two are no longer a couple but remain close, adding that she is HIV-negative.
The Two and a Half Men star went public with his HIV positive status on NBC’sToday show on Wednesday, admitting he had paid “millions” to ensure his diagnosis remained a secret.
Hours after Sheen’s explosive interview, his former girlfriend Bree Olson told US radio host Howard Stern that her ex never told her of his condition.
“He never said anything to me, I was his girlfriend. I lived with him,” Olson said. “I was a true girlfriend. I never went and sold any of my stories. I have proved my loyalty for years.”
