Charlie Sheen says if anyone can cure HIV it is him but is his charmed life over

THOSE closest to Charlie Sheen held their breath as he turned up to breakfast TV studios in mid-town Manhattan.

He’d never really wanted to talk to the world about his

health, and he was volatile. No one knew what would happen when the cameras began rolling.

“It was like going to his own execution, I guess,” says his father, Hollywood legend Martin Sheen.

But, just after sunrise on Tuesday morning, Sheen buckled in for the wild ride and said those six life-changing words on live television: “I am, in fact, HIV-positive”.

In that moment Sheen catapulted the issue of HIV into living rooms around the world.

He joined the ranks of celebrities before him, like NBA star Magic Johnson and tennis legend Arthur Ashe, in admitting to the world that he had one of it’s most stigmatised conditions.

He had three marriages, all punctuated by famous trysts with sex-for-hire beauties in expensive hotel rooms.

In 2011, Sheen famously moved two porn stars — Bree Olson and Natalie Kenly into his home, labelling them his “goddesses”.

It was around the same time he was reportedly frequently hiring multiple women from brothels to come to the home — a pastime he and former wife Brooke Muelleralso partook in.

NYC brothel madam Anna Gristina has detailed how her business was just one of many Sheen and Mueller used in the lead up to his diagnosis.

He would pay extra — up to $10,000 — for the women to have sex without protection, Gristina told the New York Post.

She claimed Sheen would also ask her prostitutes to invite other men into the bedroom, and had a particular interest in pre-op transsexuals.

His obsession with keeping his sex partners many and varied continued post-diagnosis.

The National Enquirer this week obtained Sheen’s financial reports. In 2013, two years after his diagnosis, there was a $1.6m item for “friendly entertainment” — code for sex workers.

There were in fact so many house guests, Sheen had a pro-forma nondisclosure agreement drafted.

He’d always basked in that unconventional lifestyle.

Until this week — because, when the cameras stopped rolling, many of those women lined up to haunt him.
